WELCOME STATEMENT
Christ United Methodist Church welcomes and values everyone, no exceptions. We strive to show the hospitality of Jesus Christ to persons of all ages, genders, races, sexual orientations, economic situations, and abilities. Believing that life is better together, we invite you to share your God-given gifts in this community of faith to spread God’s love in our world.
Welcome to Christ UMC's Children's Ministry! We are very excited about the opportunity to be in relationship with you and your family. Here at Christ UMC, children are an important part of our congregation. We seek to teach and lead them in the faith, and also affirm the gifts of children to lead and serve. We invite you to check out the opportunities we've designed just for your children and family. If you'd like to sign up for the Children's Ministry Newsletter to stay informed about upcoming events, please click the button below.
We believe in a God of grace who loves us unconditionally. There is nothing we have done or can do to earn that love, and nothing will ever separate us from it.
We believe God’s grace was revealed fully in Jesus Christ, who lived, died and was raised from the dead. His life, death, and resurrection set us free from sin and empower us to love as God loves. And that he is present to all God’s children through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the scriptures are best understood when they are read and interpreted within a community of faith. We also believe the church is the Body of Christ in the world, meant to do as Jesus did by, among many things, feeding the hungry, welcoming the outcast, sharing our possessions, offering healing and hope to the lost, and sharing the witness of faith.
SAFE SANCTUARY POLICY

All volunteers that work with children and youth are required to attend training on safe sanctuaries and have a background check completed. Please click below for a copy of our current Safe Sanctuary Policy. Contact Paul Bonner at paul@christumcfranklin.org with questions.

4:30pm–6:30pm
Get ready for a fun-filled evening of Halloween excitement at Christ UMC's Trunk or Treat! Families are invited to enjoy dinner together before the fun and games begin, then kids can show off their costumes as they make their way from trunk to trunk collecting treats.
We’re looking for at least 30 volunteers to bring the fun (and the candy!). Just decorate a trunk, show up with a smile, and be ready to hand out treats. We’re hosting two trunk contests, one for best youth car and one for best adult car—and yes, the winner gets a prize! Let’s make this spooky night one to remember!
Click below to register with a decorated trunk or to help with setting up and serving dinner. Questions? Reach out to Lanie Perkins.

As children grow, so does their faith! Our Children’s Ministry Milestones are special moments designed to help kids take the next step in their faith journey while celebrating each stage along the way. These meaningful experiences give children opportunities to learn, serve, lead, and share their faith with our church family.
We can’t wait to celebrate these exciting milestones with your family as we grow together in faith, friendship, and God’s love!
KINDERGARTEN:
Celebrate the start of the school year with Blessing of the Backpacks as we pray over students, teachers, and a new year of learning.
FIRST GRADE:
Learn the Lord’s Prayer together during Sunday School, then proudly lead the congregation in prayer during worship.
SECOND GRADE:
Go on a fun Church Scavenger Hunt to discover special places around the church and learn what makes each one important.
THIRD GRADE:
Receive a Bible, participate in Worship Training, and discover how to actively participate in worship each Sunday.
FOURTH GRADE:
Put faith into action through a hands-on Service Project, then share the experience with the congregation.
FIFTH GRADE:
Celebrate Share Sunday by inviting friends to church, creating invitations, and experiencing the joy of welcoming others.
SIXTH GRADE:
Complete Confirmation and celebrate this important milestone as students publicly affirm their faith before the church.
