Luke 21:5-19

"Beware that you are not led astray; for many will come in my name and say, 'I am he!' and, 'The time is near!' Do not go after them."

Sermons:

  • Sermon by Rev. Anne Hook
Christ United Methodist Church – Franklin, TN.
    Mark 10: 17-31
"Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!' "

Does Jesus mean for believers in our day and culture to take this passage literally? If so, what do we need to do to be faithful followers of Jesus?

  • Rev. Scott Marshall-Kimball
    Mark 10:2-16
“Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs”

You don’t have to do anything sensational to be loved.

  • Rev. Adam Kelchner

    Mark 9:38-50

"If any of you put a stumbling block before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were hung around your neck and you were thrown into the sea."

What are the stumbling blocks that keep you from growing in love of God and neighbor? How are you acting as a stumbling block to your neighbor’s life with God?

  • Rev. Adam Kelchner.

    Mark 9:30-37

"they had argued with one another who was the greatest." "Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me"

What defines greatness? It is the ability and willingness to welcome and care for those who have no power, status, or nothing to give in return.

  • Prior to 9/23/18 we recorded audio only. A year's worth of these sermons are available on our YouTube channel...
